The Dragons – based in Seagoville – will begin a year-round baseball development program for kids from low-income families in September with a Fall Baseball School every Saturday. There are absolutely no fees or hidden cost for kids to join, and everything (practice shirts, game uniforms, equipment) is provided by the club.

“Too many kids are addicted to video games which does not teach them too much about life,” said Dragons G.M./Head Coach Marvin Moore. “Team sports teaches kids discipline, work ethic, sportsmanship and how to work well with other to achieve a common goal.”

One of the key aspects of this free youth sports program is an emphasis on academics. Besides organizing a weekly study hall with tutors every Monday night, the club also has an Academic Rewards Program and educational field trips for members who excel in the classroom.

“The majority of local kids will not have the chance to further their education in college because of the high costs, which is just not right,” added Moore. “Our main goal is to develop student-athletes who qualify for both academic and athletic scholarships.”

Although the program is centered around baseball, the club also offers members a wide variety of activities including an eSports tournament, Wiffle Ball tourney, field trips (Texas Rangers/Frisco Roughriders, etc.), team/club events and much more!

The club will also provide important services for member parents including English Language night classes, voter registration assistance, tax preparation assistance and emergency food boxes.
