SEAGOVILLE – It will be business as usual at Seagoville High School on Wednesday after a student allegedly threatened to shoot up the school this coming Thursday.
School officials contacted both the Seagoville Police Department and the Dallas ISD police out of an abundance of caution. The student who allegedly made the threats is a white male who will not be allowed to attend school while the police investigates the incident.
Classes will be held as scheduled and additional police will be patrolling the high school campus.
One parent voiced her concerns on social media. “When someone can confirm the situation is definitely under control, I will feel safe with my child there!”
This is not the first time a threat has been made against the local high school. Nearly two years ago, a 21-year-old man was arrested for making terroristic threats regarding at ‘mass murder’ at Seagoville High School.
Jeffrey Holmes of Balch Springs was taken into custody for a Facebook post saying he was ‘homicidal and suicidal’ and there ‘might just be a mass murder going to take place.’
