Seagoville Dragons Host Bryan Adams Cougars In Thursday Night Encounter

SEAGOVILLE – The Seagoville Dragons will be hosting the Bryan Adams Cougars Thursday in a District 12-5A matchup at James Ray Henry Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The Dragons (1-5, 1-1) suffered their third shutout loss of the season last week at the hands of Woodrow Wilson (5-1, 2-0) by a score of 48-0. However, a victory tonight would put the hometown squad in the driver’s seat to claim the No. 2 playoff spot.

The Cougars (2-4, 2-0) claimed an unimpressive 24-10 win over Molina (1-5, 0-2) last week as Ty Williams rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns to remain unbeaten in district action.

Both Seagoville and Bryan Adams have lost games to a pair of common opponents, Fort Worth South Hills and Samuell. South Hills defeated the Dragons 41-0 and the Cougars 41-12, while Samuell topped Seagoville 46-33 and Bryan Adams 42-28.

Isaiah Brown is the main offensive weapons for the Dragons. The senior dual threat has rushed for 577 yards and three scores, while adding 118 yards and one touchdown through the air.

Bryan Adams senior quarterback Rekedron Murphy has thrown for 839 yards and eight touchdowns this season. His favorite target, junior wideout Nick Murphy, has caught 19 passes for 368 yards and four scores.

PREDICTION: Seagoville 46, Samuell 44
